Yes, Valentino Rossi (my MotoGP racing hero) has his own fan club, gift shop, and pizzeria here in his hometown of Tavullia, which is on the Adriatic Coast of Italy (about 200 miles north of Rome). Brought back a couple of menu's to frame for my garage art collection. He's also got a "training ranch" which has a multi-purpose track for all kinds of motorcycle racing. The thing I admire most of Valentino, is that he pumps back his energy into grooming the younger racers of tomorrow...as is evident in the up-and-comers currently winning races in the lower classes of MotoGP 2 and 3. If you look at the pics near bottom, you'll see his track/s from a distance. It's an incredible place.
While there, I took the opportunity to sloppily sign for my buddy Dave and me, on Rossi's banner outside the Fan Club office. They replace the banner frequently, since it gets full so fast. This place is a mecca for bicyclists, motorcyclists and general Rossi fans from all over the world.
As a nearby sign says ("Che Spettacolo"...i disegni per Valle) which means "What a show ... the drawings for Valle" in English. This mosaic of drawings, presumably from local school children, was about 20 yards long.
